Our recent survey asked members to provide rankings on possible thematic priorities for the ASC. We’d appreciate your comments on the findings below. These will be considered in the Executive Board’s upcoming Strategic Planning Session at their spring meeting. Your input is greatly appreciated and very useful in ensuring the ASC meets your needs.   

1) The following themes were ranked in the top tier by our members. Please provide your comments on why these should be a priority and how you think the ASC can address these.

a. Patient-centric cytologic services that are safe, evidence-based, and support personalized diagnosis and treatment.

b. Leadership in setting professional quality standards that ensure diagnostic excellence.

c. Advocating for the cytology profession to ensure an appropriate workload and work environment, laboratory safety and quality, and appropriate reimbursement.
