Our recent survey asked members to provide rankings on possible thematic priorities for the ASC. We’d appreciate your comments on the findings below. These will be considered in the Executive Board’s upcoming Strategic Planning Session at their spring meeting. Your input is greatly appreciated and very useful in ensuring the ASC meets your needs.   

2) The following themes were ranked in the middle tier by our members. Please provide your comments on why these should be prioritized at this level, and how you think the ASC can address these.

a. Cross-disciplinary focus, including molecular pathology, cytogenetics, and other laboratory disciplines, to grow professional opportunity, and incorporate new scientific discoveries into cytology practice.

b. Inter-professional education to prepare and maintain an adequate workforce of cytotechnologists and cytopathologists.
