57th Annual Scientific Meeting in Denver, Colorado

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the 57th Annual Scientific Meeting to be held November 13-17, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

AUDIOVISUAL INFORMATION 

The American Society of Cytopathology contracts with Visual Aids Electronics to provide professional audiovisual equipment for each session. All Directors/Moderators must complete their Audiovisual Needs Form(s) by August 17, 2009 in order to coordinate with the audiovisual company.

*No Audiovisual for Roundtable Discussions – please skip this section if this is the format for your presentation.

SPEAKER DISCLOSURES

The American Society of Cytopathology must obtain a speaker disclosure from every speaker for each session that is presented, to be in compliance with ACCME accreditation.

All speakers have been sent an email to complete a disclosure for each session you are presenting.  If you are presenting multiple sessions, be sure to complete the disclosure on each of the emails.  If you have not received the disclosure email(s), please contact education@nullcytopathology.org.


SELF-ASSESSMENT MODULES (SAMs)

Required for ALL Video Microscopy Tutorials, ALL Panel Luncheon Seminars, ALL Cytology Workshops, BOTH Cytomorphology Special Courses, Diagnostic Seminar and the State of the Art Symposium.

If you are the Director of your session, please download this form and email it to education@nullcytopathology.org no later than August 17th.

REGISTRATION

ALL faculty members MUST REGISTER and PAY a registration fee for the Meeting.

The Scientific Program Committee Chair, in conjunction with the ASC President, has the discretion to waive registration for non-traditional invited speakers.


REIMBURSEMENT INFORMATION

ASC Member Speakers and Participants: 
Most ASC Member speakers and participants in the Annual Scientific Meeting will receive an honorarium and must pay a registration fee for the Meeting.  This includes members who present or facilitate at scientific sessions, panel luncheons, workshops, microscopy tutorials, etc.  EXCEPTION:  The basic registration fees are waived for the Papanicolaou Awardee, Cytotechnologist for Outstanding Achievement Awardee, Excellence in Education Awardee, and the Chair of the Scientific Program Committee.  Speakers who attend ONLY to present in a single program session will have their basic registration fee waived.

ASC Non-Member Speakers and Participants:
Annual Scientific Meeting non-member speakers are reimbursed for airfare, hotel and per diem expenses.  (Please note that each ASC non-member participant must be approved by the ASC.)  Airfare reimbursed to the maximum of prevailing coach rate (discount rate encouraged), ground transportation to/from airports (maximum of $60.00), complete coverage of standard hotel room and tax (2 nights), exclusive of personal amenities and per diem of $50 for food.  Non-members attending beyond their presentation are required to pay the appropriate Meeting basic registration fee, unless the registration fee is complimentary in lieu of travel expenses. 

Speakers and participants may be reimbursed or receive an honorarium for only one category, regardless of the number of sessions they might participate in or present.
