The “Make A Star of Your Mentor” program has been an unqualified success in raising money for the ASC Foundation. While we are still continuing that program, we also want Mentors to celebrate their Mentees and their accomplishments by introducing “Diamonds in the Rough.” As Mentors, you celebrate the legacy of those you have trained, and those who make you proud when they give a lecture, or when you read an article they have written.

Mentorship has always been important to the ASC. Our organization is more than a professional platform for scientific exchange. It provides a vehicle for continuous professional development, recognition of exceptional talent, and collaboration across institutions. It also provides links from one generation to the next.

Honor your Mentee by showing your gratitude through a gift of any size to the ASC Foundation.

With a gift to the Foundation, you can make a "DIAMOND" of a special Mentee.

Your Mentee will:

• Receive a thank you card with your name to indicate that you have recognized them.
• Be publicly recognized in the Diamond Showcase on display at the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting, published in The ASC Bulletin and posted on the ASC Web site.
• Know that you shared your professional values through your support of research, education and advocacy programs sponsored by the ASC Foundation.
• A special ribbon will appear on your honoree's name badge if they attend the Annual Scientific Meeting.

• 1-Carat Diamond --- up to $999 contribution in honor of your mentee
• 5-Carat Diamond --- $1,000 to $4,999 contribution in honor of your mentee
• 10-Carat Diamond --- $5,000 and higher contribution in honor of your mentee

With the celebration of our Society’s Diamond Anniversary, honor your rough-cut diamonds that you have polished, and support your profession through a donation to the ASC Foundation Diamonds in the Rough Program!
