| Your American Society of Cytopathology created a consortium of professional societies whose intent is to lobby higher education and hospital administrators to maintain cytotechnology programs. To date, a communication signed by ten organizations was sent to the academic and financial administrators of certain schools known to be under threat. Our intent was to indicate that significant damage could be done to the public health and laboratory infrastructure, by striving for short-term financial goals based on questionable assumptions and incomplete information. | ||
