ASC Volunteer Appreciation Award

The ASC Volunteers are essential and generous with their time and talents. You, the ASC Volunteer, bring light and life to many incredible endeavors that the ASC embarks on every year.  Recognizing our volunteers for their valuable contributions is an essential part of the ASC; therefore, the ASC is proud to announce the ASC Volunteer Appreciation Award.

The ASC Volunteer Appreciation Award will be awarded to an individual demonstrating overall leadership ability and possesses a clear understanding of the ASC’s mission.


The American Society of Cytopathology is now accepting nominations for the ASC Volunteer Appreciation Award.

The nomination deadline is July 1, 2018.


Any ASC member volunteering for ASC in an official capacity is eligible for this recognition.
The recipient of the ASC Volunteer Appreciation Award will be honored at the ASC Annual Scientific Meeting and receive a commemorative plaque, monetary award and a free registration to the Annual Scientific Meeting. In addition, a letter will be sent the recipient’s Department Chair. The nominations will be reviewed and selected by the ASC National Office Staff.
The ASC Volunteer Appreciation Award acknowledges the contributions of ASC members who have demonstrated outstanding service to the mission, goals and work of the ASC during a given service year.  Eligible members include:
  • Chair: leadership of a committee, task force or other working group
  • Individual Member: contributions of an individual member who has volunteered for the ASC in an official capacity, such as serving on a committee, an appointed group, representing the ASC at other organizations, writing for a publication, etc.
