What does my Basic Registration include?
Your Basic Registration fee entitles you to participate in all Scientific Sessions, refreshment breaks, the President’s Welcome Reception, and the Wine & Cheese Social. Scientific Sessions include:

Which Annual Scientific Meeting sessions should I attend?
The Meeting is designed to provide a variety of sessions to suit the diverse interests of cytopathologists and cytotechnologists at every career level. To help you plan your Annual Meeting activities, descriptions of the 
types of sessions offered, as well as specific information about this year’s program, is provided online in the Registration Book.  

Where can I find the locations of the session rooms?
Upon checking in at the ASC Registration Desk you will receive a Program Book that lists all the session locations. The ASC Registration Desk is located in the Centennial Foyer of the Hyatt Regency. 

Where can I find the abstracts?
You will receive an Abstract Book with your registration materials upon checking in. The ASC will also provide a link to the Abstract Book on the 57th Annual Scientific Meeting Web site.

I’m attending the ASC Meeting to give a Platform Presentation; where do I turn in my presentation slides?
All Annual Scientific Meeting speakers should visit the Speaker Ready Room located in the Slate Room of the Hyatt Regency to provide their PowerPoint presentations to the AV Tech via CD or USB Flash Drive (i.e., memory stick). The Speaker Ready Room will be open beginning Friday, November 13th.  Scientific Session presenters will be provided a schedule for the Speaker Ready Room. Please refer to the Platform Guidelines for more information.

I’m attending the ASC Meeting to present a poster; do I need to check in?
Yes, you should plan to check in at the registration area in the Centennial Foyer of the Hyatt Regency. You will receive information on your designated poster board area at the date and time specified in your confirmation materials. The Poster Presentations will be in the Centennial Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency. Please refer to the Poster Guidelines for more information.

How do I collect my CME credits for the Meeting?
Please visit the Cyber Café or use your personal computer to claim CME Credits through the CME link on the ASC Web site. The process for claiming CME credits and printing a CME certificate for the Meeting must be completed no later than February 28, 2010. There will be no printers available at the Cyber Cafe. Please wait until you are able to print complete SAMs or MOC, or you will have re-test at a later date to print the certificate.

Can I get copies of the slide presentations?
After the Meeting, the ASC will offer Scientific Session presentations on the 57th Annual Scientific Meeting Web page.


Where do I pick up my Meeting badge?
Meeting badges and session tickets will be available upon check-in at the ASC Registration Desk located in the Centennial Foyer of the Hyatt Regency. 

Do I need to check in when I arrive?
Yes, you should plan to check in at the ASC Registration Desk in the Centennial Foyer of the Hyatt Regency to pick up your on-site meeting Materials, including the Final
 Program Book, which will contain the final schedule and session locations.

When should I plan to arrive?
The ASC Annual Scientific Meeting Scientific Sessions officially begin on Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 AM. We suggest arriving on Friday, November 13th, to orient yourself with the Hotel and pick up Meeting materials at the Registration Desk. However, those who plan to attend Friday’s pre-Meeting courses may choose to arrive on Thursday, November 12th. The Registration Desk
 opens Friday, November 13th at 7:00 AM.

How long should I stay?
Sessions take place throughout the Annual Scientific Meeting, from Friday morning, November 13th, through Tuesday afternoon, November 17th. The full 
meeting schedule and session descriptions can be found on the ASC Web site.

Where should I stay?
A room block has been reserved at the 
Hyatt Regency in Denver, Colorado.  The ASC strongly encourages you to book your overnight accommodations at this hotel. If the contracted room block is not met, the ASC could be penalized with attrition, which would result in increased fees.

Are travel agents available to help me with my flights?
Yes, Uniglobe Red Carpet Travel has been selected as the official travel agency for the 2009 ASC Annual Scientific Meeting in Denver, Colorado.

What’s appropriate attire for the Meeting?
Attire for the Meeting is business casual (also referred to as dressy casual or Friday casual). Appropriate wear includes a light jacket, sweater, turtleneck, open-collar or no-collar tops, slacks and comfortable shoes. It is suggested you have a sweater with you since meeting rooms may be chilly.

How can I contact other attendees during the Meeting?  How can my family or office contact me?
As cell phone reception may be difficult to obtain in the Hotel, the Cyber Café will be available on-site to help attendees connect with one another, their families and offices.

Are food and refreshments provided during the Meeting?
One or more coffee breaks are typically provided each day of the Meeting in the Exhibit Hall. In the evening, the President’s Welcome Reception and Wine & Cheese Social offer refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Check the 
Schedule-at-a-Glance for the dates and times of these events. 

When is the Exhibit Hall open?
The E
xhibit Hall will be open on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and is located in the Centennial Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency. Meeting badges are required for entrance to the Exhibit Hall. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Exhibit Hall during breaks as refreshments will be available. Children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall.

My family will be attending the Meeting with me; can they come to the sessions? 
Spouses and guests are welcome to register for the Meeting and will receive a badge allowing them access to the Exhibit Hall and all ASC-sponsored social events. However, this registration rate does not allow entrance into any of the sessions. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the Exhibit or Poster halls, as well as the session rooms.
